About Amanda Zook

Hello and welcome!

I've been devouring romance novels since middle school—first cutting my teeth on the old "bodice rippers" before discovering stories with slow burns, high stakes, and a healthy dose of danger. After years of letting fictional couples chase each other around my imagination, I'm finally giving them a place on the page.

I was raised in the Sweetest Place on Earth (Hershey, Pennsylvania) and attended a small liberal arts college, where I met the love of my life—no dramatic plot twist necessary. Together, we spent the first twenty years of our marriage on the Jersey Shore (the real one, not the one with spray tans and club fights) before relocating halfway across the country.

These days, I live in the southwest corner of the mitten state, where the sunsets are breathtaking, and the winters build character with just enough lake-effect snow to make me question every life decision until spring.

I'm a wife, the slightly outnumbered mom of teenage twin girls who keep me humble, and a firm believer that the best love stories are forged under pressure. Give me capable heroines, swoony heroes, impossible odds, emotional scars, second chances, witty banter, and just enough danger to make that happily-ever-after feel like a victory. An explosion or two doesn't hurt either—preferably metaphorical, but I'm not picky.

When I'm not putting my characters through emotional and occasionally literal danger, I'm reading romantic suspense, drinking entirely too much Coke (never Pepsi—some lines simply cannot be crossed), and trying to understand how I managed to raise children who don't appreciate either reading or pizza. Honestly, I deserve hazard pay.

I would love to hear from you. Get in touch if you’ve got any comments, questions, or just want to say hello.
